EGYPTIAN PENDANTS

Our Egyptian Pendants are handcrafted talismans inspired by the sacred art of ancient Kemet. Each pendant is made from a brass alloy with 5% gold mixed all the way through, not plated, so the warm golden tone won't flake or wear away. They are lead free and nickel free, making them a good fit for most people with metal sensitivities. Chain not included.

Thoth is honored as the god of wisdom, writing, and sacred knowledge. Seth was revered as a god of storms, strength, and the power of the desert. Sobek, the crocodile god of the Nile, was associated with protection, fertility, and might. Nut, the sky goddess whose body arches over the earth, was believed to swallow the sun each evening and birth it again at dawn. Bastet was beloved as a protector of the home, joy, and the feline spirit. Nefertiti, the great royal wife of Akhenaten, remains an enduring symbol of beauty, power, and queenship; her pendant is a thick, raised sculpted piece.

The scarab was linked to Khepri, the rising sun, and became a symbol of renewal and rebirth that Egyptians carried for thousands of years. Our scarab styles come in plain gold, green agate, and mother of pearl. The lotus, which closes at night and opens again each morning, was a symbol of creation and rebirth; this style is set with lapis lazuli and malachite, two stones prized in ancient Egyptian jewelry.
