FREYA

This 10⅜ inch statue honors Freya, one of the most revered goddesses of the Norse tradition.

In Norse lore, Freya is associated with love, beauty, fertility, and seidr, a form of Norse magic and seership. She is also known as a fierce protector who receives half of those who fall in battle into her hall, Fólkvangr. Her sacred animals include cats, which are said to pull her chariot.

Many practitioners work with Freya when honoring their own power, sensuality, intuition, and self worth. She can be incorporated into an altar for self love, devotional practice, or study of Norse and Heathen traditions.

A striking piece for anyone drawn to a goddess who holds both softness and strength.
