PERSEPHONE

This 10¼ inch statue honors Persephone, the Greek goddess of spring vegetation and Queen of the Underworld.

In ancient Greek myth, Persephone, daughter of Demeter, spends part of each year in the underworld and returns each spring, bringing new growth with her. Her story was central to the Eleusinian Mysteries and has long been read as a teaching on cycles, descent and return, and the wisdom found in darkness.

Many practitioners work with Persephone during seasons of change, shadow work, grief, or rebirth, and in honoring the dead. She can be incorporated into an altar for the turning of the seasons, spring rituals, or ancestor work.

A beautiful reminder that every ending holds the seed of a new beginning.
