This Railroad Spike is a solid iron spike, sold individually, and one of the most recognized protection tools in Hoodoo and rootwork.

In Southern Hoodoo, railroad spikes are traditionally driven into the ground at the four corners of a home or property to create a boundary of protection and help keep unwanted energy out. Iron itself has long been honored across many traditions for its strength and protective power, and in Yoruba and Diaspora practice it is closely associated with Ogun, the Orisha of iron, labor, and clearing the path.

Many practitioners buy four spikes to mark the corners of their space, dress them with protection oil before setting them, or keep a single spike on the altar as a symbol of strength and resilience. It can also be incorporated into work for stability and holding your ground.

A grounded, time honored tool for guarding your home and everything you've built.
